The first two seasons at C42, Citroën’s international
showcase on the Champs-Elysées, were dedicated to sustainable
innovation and Citroën’s sporting adventure. The new show explores the
styling universe of the new C5.
The spectacularly staged exhibition focuses on the
interior and exterior design of the distinguished newcomer. In both
saloon and estate form, the new C5 is the height of sleekness and
elegance.
Vehicle design inspired by creative arts
To create the colours and materials of a car like the
C5, automotive stylists take their inspiration from creative
disciplines including fashion, decoration and architecture
The outstanding staging of the new C42 show
highlights the interplay between the automotive and design sectors.
Inspired by the new C5, renowned stylists Bisazza, Louis
Vuitton, Bô, Marianne Guedin and Aquamass have recreated the design
universe of the new vehicle in the form of room installations. All of
them contributed emblematic objects to the new show.
“Lounge”, “Well-being” and “Force Latine” design schemes
The new show in this innovative glass structure features
the C5 saloon, the C5 Tourer estate and the C5 Airscape concept car,
echoed by explorations of the design schemes of the new vehicle.
The “Lounge” interior design scheme of the new C5 has
been reinterpreted in a lounge installation, located at the top of the
building with magnificent views over the Champs-Elysées. The colour
brown dominates, giving a luxurious and premium feel, particularly in
the leather of the couch.
The “Well-being” installation expresses the essence of comfort in a
light-flooded, minimalist bathroom.
The personality of the new C5 is reflected in a bedroom inspired by the
“Force Latine” design scheme, decked out in black and chrome.
Citroën is turning heads once more with the new C_CHIC
show at C42.
