Citroën is revealing the prices for new C4 SpaceTourer
and Grand C4 SpaceTourer range, now offering the new
EAT8 automatic
gearbox paired with the BlueHDi 160. The brand is also
confirming that
it has dropped the Picasso name in favour of the
SpaceTourer name, from
the first deliveries in May. A unique signature to
identify modern and
complementary products that can transport 5 to 9 people
by offering an
enhanced design, a unique experience of comfort and
latest-generation
technologies and engines. C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4
SpaceTourer
strengthen themselves with the introduction of the
BlueHDi 160 S&S
diesel engine, the first to be paired with the new EAT8
automatic
gearbox. With this pairing, C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4
SpaceTourer
offer greater driving comfort and simplicity, and even
better
performance. The order books for Citroën C4 SpaceTourer
and Grand C4
SpaceTourer BlueHDi 160 S&S EAT8 are already open in
France, with
prices starting at €33,850.

A NEW SIGNATURE: C4
SPACETOURER AND GRAND C4 SPACETOURER
Along with this new pricing, the Brand is officially
adopting the new
“SpaceTourer” name, which will replace “Picasso”. This
unique new
“SpaceTourer” signature, unveiled at the Geneva Motor
Show, allows us
to present a global offer comprising 3 MPVs (including
SpaceTourer)
that complete our range of hatchbacks and SUVs, and
symbolizes the
spaciousness, the ingenuity and the limitless escape.
Modern,
user-friendly and family-oriented products that allow
drivers and
passengers to travel in unique comfort, these cars offer
an enhanced
design, as well as latest-generation technologies and
engines.
Both C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer benefit
from Citroën’s
know-how in terms of style, roominess, modularity,
versatility and
well-being on board. Such qualities that have already
attracted more

some markets. Based on the EMP2 platform, they
incorporate useful

INTRODUCTION OF THE
EAT8 GEARBOX: THE BEST PERFORMANCE/COMFORT TRADE-OFF
With these two MPVs, the Brand is presenting the full
range of its
expertise in terms of engines. A major highlight of the
spring will be
the arrival of the latest-generation EAT8 automatic
gearbox in C4
SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer range. Initially
paired with the
BlueHDi 160 S&S diesel engine, the EAT8 automatic
gearbox will be
paired with other engines later in the year.
Designed and developed in collaboration with the
Japanese specialist
Aisin, this eight-speed “Efficient Automatic
Transmission” gearbox
(with steering wheel blades to allow for manual gear
changes), is both
intuitive and easy to use. It offers even more
efficiency and everyday
comfort, with:
- Reduced fuel consumption of up to 7% compared to the
EAT6 thanks to
the two additional gears, better output with the
extension of Stop
& Start up to 20 km/h and improvements in terms of
weight and
compactness (up to 2kg compared to the EAT6)
- Improved driving comfort and smoother shifting of
gears made possible
by optimised exchanges of torque between the engine and
gearbox; the
transition to eight speeds helps reduce the jump between
gears at each
gear shift.

The Citroën C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer
range, inspired by
its customers and their automotive experience, will see
its road-going
qualities strengthened with this new engine offer, which
provides a
tailored solution for every driver! This new engine,
which meets the
Euro 6.2 standard (and will replace the 150 EAT6 unit)
is available for
C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer models at the
