Quick and easy reconfiguration
The
C4 Picasso's modular design allows the interior
layout to be
reconfigured quickly and easily, while keeping
all the seats inside the
vehicle. The vehicle meets a full range of
passenger requirements with
up to seven seats that can be arranged in many
and varied
configurations.
-
The
second row of seats can be folded away in a
single movement without
removing the headrests, simply by pulling
the strap on the side of the
backrest.
-
The third row
of seats can also be folded away easily
without removing the headrests,
by pulling the strap at the bottom of the
backrest.
-
With the seats folded away, the continuous,
flat loading space stretches from the boot
to the back of the front
seats.
-
In
the third row, the original seat design
provides easy access. The
cushions of the second-row side seats are
automatically lifted towards
the seat back, much like a cinema seat, when
the driver presses a
control at the top of the seat back. The
seats then slide up against
the front seat-backs in a single movement,
freeing up maximum space to
access the third row.
Generously sized boot of clever design
The
remarkable roominess of the C4 Picasso does not
detract from the size
of the boot. The amount of boot space depends on
the interior layout.
Largest boot volumes in the segment
-
In
the most common configuration, a 5-seat
layout with row-three seats
folded away and row-two seats pushed right
back, the volume beneath the
luggage cover is the largest in its category
at 576 litres VDA. When
all the seats are folded away, the maximum
capacity is 1,951 litres
VDA.
-
The C4 Picasso
also boasts the widest distance between
wheel arches in its category,
at 1.17 m. This width remains the same along
the entire length of the
boot, thus making it easier to transport
wide, rectangular objects.
-
The load length of 1.03 m can reach 2.06 m
if
the front passenger seat is pushed forward
to the maximum extent.
-
The
52 cm space under the luggage cover is also
the best in the category,
allowing the occupants to hide relatively
large objects from prying
eyes.
Easy and convenient use
With its ingenious layout, the boot is easy and
convenient to use.
Thanks
to the opening rear window available on the C4
Picasso, the boot can be
comfortably loaded right up to the roof and can
be easily accessed even
when the vehicle is parked in a tight space.
-
A
load restraint net lets the driver maximise
the load volume, without
compromising passenger safety. It can be
installed behind the first or
second row of seats, over the entire height
of the vehicle, between the
folded seats and the roof.
In the
seven-seater layout, boot storage space is
increased by a number of
clever features, including deep, closed
compartments with a capacity of
80 litres positioned under the third-row seats.
Boot height can be
increased by raising the floor sections that
close these compartments.
These sections then serve as luggage restraints.
-
A
stowage net can be arranged in a wide range
of configurations (flat on
the floor, under the luggage cover, etc.)
using the eight hooks
provided in the boot.
-
In a
seven-seater layout, the luggage-cover
roller can be stored vertically
behind the third row of seats. Also, the
blind can be deployed
vertically, to isolate the boot from the
cabin and prevent people
looking in.
Useful and convenient stowage compartments
Alongside
the conventional stowage space provided in the
door inner panels, the
cabin features an array of cleverly designed
stowage compartments.
The
innovative driving position associated with the
6-speed electronic
gearbox system and automatic transmission,
creates space for four
large-capacity compartments on the dashboard.
The lower central part of
the dashboard features a cooled compartment to
keep products at a low
temperature, including when the air conditioning
blows hot air into the
cabin. This generously sized compartment (5.4 l)
can store, for
example, one 1.5 l bottle and two 0.5 l bottles.
The lid of this
compartment includes two can-holders and a small
tray.
The
backrests of the first row of seats are fitted
with new aircraft-style
trays that can be put to use by passengers at
the rear for various
objects (a computer, drinks, toys, etc.) . The
trays are styled to suit
the shape of the seatback, without sacrificing
knee room for second-row
passengers. They fold downwards into a hollow
space provided at knee
level.
A stowage net is also provided on the back of
each
front seat.
Additional
stowage compartments are also available
(depending on the trim level
and equipment): a low console between the front
seats, and stowage
compartments under the front seats, under the
floor in row 2, behind
row 2 and row 3, under the armrest in row 3, in
the sides of the boot
pillars, etc.
