The grand tour

The world meet for Citroën SM owners and fans was hosted by the Citroën SM Club Of Norway (CSMKN) in Loen, Norway September 17-20 September 2021.

The participants were offered an unforgettable experience of unspoilt nature, great architecture and granturismo moments on some of the finest driving roads in Europe. Add to that high class food & drink, relaxation and wellbeing.

More than  40 SM´s arrived in Loen for the weekend. We were anxious that Covid19 would prevent us from arranging the meet, but we we’re able to postpone the meet from the spring till the Autumn. We are thankful for so many keeping the faith and joined the event late in the season. Hosting an international car event at the end of a pandemic was not an easy thing to do. But the event team did a great planning and the event went very well. We think everyone had a great grand tour towards the mountains and the fjords of north-western Norway.

Many participants joined the planned drive from Oslo over spectacular Valdresflye mountain to Loen, to hotel Alexandra. After a relaxing Saturday, we had the grand tour drive from Loen via Geiranger to Troll’s Ladder mountain pass and continuing towards Aalesund. The drive was really nice and just a couple of minor car incidents were registered. So all cars made the trip.

For the hard core drivers, Monday was scheduled for the Antlatic road, a spectacular drive across numerous bridges and small islands on the edge to the ocean. An amazing drive.

Then it was just to drive all the way back home. Thank you all for the greatest weekend!!
