Citroën Technospace

With the Xsara Picasso, C4 Picasso, Grand C4 Picasso and C3 Picasso, Citroën has asserted itself as one of the leaders in the compact MPV segment. Since 1999, the brand has sold almost 3 million Picassos.

Now Citroën is entering a new phase in the sector by revealing the TECHNOSPACE concept, which points to the future C4 Picasso. A demonstration of Citroën’s ‘Créative Technologie’, the new concept ushers in a new era with;

  • A record CO2 emissions level of 98g/km, achieved thanks to the new Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2), which features efficient architecture and minimises weight.

  • Multiple technologies for enhanced comfort, including a full-touch driving interface with a high-definition 12-inch panoramic screen.

  • Previously unseen proportions that combine compact size (length: 4.43m/width: 1.83m/height: 1.61m) with standard-setting interior space and class-leading boot capacity (537-litres VDA).

  • Strong, expressive design with dynamic lines and high-tech headlamps complemented by 3D-effect tail lights inspired by the latest Citroën concept cars.

  • A stylish new cabin design with a bright, uncluttered layout and high-quality materials.

Appearing with a new satin effect ‘Nuance Anisée’ body colour, CITROËN TECHNOSPACE boasts unprecedented proportions and style that is both dynamic and compact. The assertive front end incorporates a new chevron design, which extends right across the bonnet. At the rear, the new 3D-effect tail lights  - inspired by the Tubik, Survolt and Revolte concepts - are engaging and futuristic.

Inside, the spacious cabin is bright and airy - thanks to a panoramic windscreen and glass roof - with suede and microfibre upholstery that promotes comfort and durability. The storage spaces are practical and thoughtfully designed. The boot has a class leading capacity of 537-litres VDA.

CITROËN TECHNOSPACE offers a first class travelling experience for all occupants. There is a ‘relaxation’ seat for the front passenger, complete with an extendable leg rest and there are ‘relaxation’ headrests on all seats for optimum neck support. Both the driver and front passenger also benefit from massaging front seats.

The concept’s new 100% touchscreen driving interface is simple, intuitive, ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing with a stylised layout structured around two screens - a 7-inch touchscreen and a 12-inch HD widescreen.

The 7-inch screen features just seven touch-sensitive buttons to control all functions including climate control, navigation and radio, while the 12-inch HD widescreen displays essential driving information such as navigational information or driving advice. Drivers can even upload photos to personalise the display.

A portal, called Citroën Multicity Connect, with a wide range of apps can also be accessed through the 7-inch screen. These apps can help the driver locate the nearest fuel station, hotel or restaurant and can even provide weather forecasts.
